ADMIN POST:

Please do be respectful of others, please do not force something upon them if they do not feel like they should do it. This meaning ships, plots, or even creating a new character.

Also, if you have a plot that you want to do with someone, please be aware that they are wanting to do it. If they aren’t feeling it, don’t give them a hard time, okay? Must I remind you of an event that took place a few months ago with a roleplayer that is not here anymore? Things change, ideas change, and opinions change. Keep that in mind!

And another thing, if your character is going to be part of a plot this upcoming Friday, please make sure that all parties involved are down with it! All we ask is that you do not kill anyone that is here. If they are characters you created to kill in your para, that is totally fine! Any plots that involve the following MUST BE CLEARED BY THE ADMINS:

 • Change of sexuality
 • Pregnancy
 • Rape
 • Murder
 • Suicide (Though this will, almost every time, be denied!)

Knights vs. Wolves: Annual Rivalry Football Match!
It’s that time of year again! Known as the “Third Friday of May,” rival high schools Elysium Central and Glendale face off on the field for their end of the year match-up. While most people are talking prom dresses and king and queen, the people in Elysium are talking about the big game they anticipate to celebrate the end of the school year. With the brooding rivalry still going strong for over thirty years, pride and bragging rights are on the line, as is the trophy for top dog in the football world of Elysium.
Taking place at ECHS stadium, the tradition of home field advantage given to the winning team of the prior season, they will pass off the trophy that has been sitting pretty in their display to the officials, hoping to keep claim on what they feel is rightfully theirs. A tradition that has been going strong since the beginning of Elysium, Glendale is hoping to finally put a stop to Elysium Central High’s long reign of being island champions. Coach Clarke of the Knights has been very vocal about their strength, commenting on how their defense has been practicing relentlessly to take down the wall of Wolves who are known for their impeccable offense and ball passing skills.
Coach Hardburg of the Wolves has been rather relaxed, stating that he was not worried, throwing around harsh words in an attempt to hinder Clarke’s regard. The war of words that have been passed back and forth from both schools, it seems tension are high, both sides letting the other know who will win this years match.
While neither team has a lead over the other, both having won the annual match 16 times, this years game would finally put one school over another. Bragging rights are on the line, as is the attempt to squash the other team. Elysium Central has won the match five years in a row, tying the school with their bitter rivals, and this year they are hoping to do it again.
“Our biggest set back,” says Coach Hardburg, “is the fact that we don’t have our best player, Ryan Salvetine.” Though he feels confident in the remaining players, he went on to state that, “without Salvetine, our morale is slightly lower, his halftime speeches were always what got us through and pulled us together as a team. We are wishing him a speedy recovery, and he is more than welcome to come in and give us that much needed pep talk one last time.” When asked about whether this will somehow effect the way the game is played, Hardburg laughed.
While Elysium Central lost their most valuable player, Glendale is no stranger to injuries or setbacks. Just four years ago they too lost their prized player Jonathan Blackburn after a car accident that cut his blossoming career short, starting a long losing streak for the Knights.
Regardless of who you root for, this will be a showdown for the ages. As usual the pomp and circumstance will be grand this year, marking the celebration and the ultimate tie-breaker. During halftime the field will host the championship winning marching band of ECHS and following the game will be a fireworks show to mark the last sports event of the season. Previous to the football game there will be a barbecue and tailgate party in the parking lot, given the fact that the stadium is not on school property, alcohol will be served in open containers and available at several stands.
The game starts Friday May 18th at 9pm, while the festivities begin at 7pm. As usual, officials presiding will have power negation, canceling out any abilities the players might use against one another. Anyone caught in the stands cheating will be fined and the game will be rescheduled.

Name: Nathan Bennett | Age: 18 | Occupation: Student | Ability: Memory Manipulation | Sexuality: Straight | Side: Unsure | FC: Niall Horan

When they say that the baby in the family gets special treatment is true, well in Nathan’s case is it. Nathan is the runt of his family and growing up in a family of 3 boys and 3 girls was tough. Having to wear hand-me-downs, do a ton of chores and work hard to walk in the footsteps of his older siblings were things that he needed to do on a regular basis. But when Nate found out that he could do things that his siblings couldn’t do, he saw it as an advantage and began to use it against them. He began to find that when he got upset and wished that something never happened, the people around him soon forgot and remembered things that he’d wished happened. From that point on, Nathan got whatever he wanted and when he wanted it.
After manipulating his parent’s thoughts enough to cause them to forget to go to his eldest brother’s university graduation, Nate realized that he had gone too far. Getting online, he researched about his ability and found that there had been others who had experienced the same things that he was going through. After emailing someone who had shared their story, Nate found Elysium and packed his bags as quickly as he could. He might be new to the island, but he plans to take it head on. No fears, no time to worry, just good hearted fun.
When you first meet Nathan, you’ll think that he’s the type of kid to go off volunteering at the local animal shelter or spending time with little kids at the park. But what you won’t see is his darker side; the side in which his temperamental and pessimistic attitude is just as strong as his better, more charming side. Some could say that Nate is confused as to who he really is because of the fact that he lets his power take over, but most would say that Nathan is mostly good because of the boundaries that he’s set for himself.

Name: Jack Fisher | Age: 28 | Occupation: Journalist | Ability: Telekinesis/Resurrection (Which he is unaware of) | Sexuality: Straight | Side: Unsure | FC: Joseph Gordon Levitt

Jack Fisher isn’t your typical resident of Elysium, in fact he isn’t really typical at all when compared to those who live on the secluded island. He has no story to tell, at least when it comes to a troubled past or a horrible run-in with humans. He lead a very normal life in his home state of Massachusetts, living with his mother who was a doctor and his father who was a construction worker. He had no siblings, that he knew of at least, and he was on track and field all throughout his high school career. The people in his town were very accepting and very giving when it came to the community of mutants that was formed outside of Boston. Though he didn’t live a sheltered life, he considers himself to be somewhat so for he has no real bad experience when it comes to those who were not like him.
In college he got into film, always seen around campus with a video camera and a massive group of friends who did nothing but talk about movies and film making. Though it wasn’t something he pursued, it was always a side hobby, a passion of his, and something he still does from time to time, mainly documentaries for his own enjoyment. Getting a degree in journalism, Jack wrote for his university newspaper, his focus on politics and current events within the community. He never won any awards, but he always received praise for his work and he knew he was destined to do great at what he wanted, to become a journalist.
His coming to the island was by choice, not because he was bullied or felt as if he were in danger, but because he wanted to try out being around people who were gifted, much like he was. Stumbling upon an island divided by those who wanted to use their abilities for personal gain or those who wanted to just live a normal existence, Jack was instantly intrigued. His main focus in his articles for Elysium Events was the human condition, the strife that was very apparent both on the island and off between mutants and humans. Very personable and very outgoing, he made friends with all types of people, never really caring as to what side a person was on for he didn’t look at the world as black and white, one way or another.
Having lived this normal existence for twenty-eight years, he doesn’t really understand how people could dislike each other so badly when they were, essentially, the same thing. Someone who enjoys debates and learning, he is known somewhat as a troublemaker, but not to cause problems. Playing devil’s advocate, Jack likes to get under people’s skin when debating these “sides,” shooting his two-cents on the matter frequently and putting himself at odds with people. Though he appears normal, good, and interested, he does have his drawbacks. He can be restless, anxious, and angry because he can’t relate that well. His relaxed personality sometimes makes him appear apathetic, but he is a very passionate person, someone who thirsts for adventure and excitement to his mundane life. He makes friends very easily and always has something to talk about, whether it be something he read, learned, or saw.
People aren’t sure whether he is good or bad, something he keeps to himself because it makes him seem more interesting. Jack loves to drink, make close friends, and surround himself with good folks, but knowing how people are here, he is very weary. Having gone this long without something going bad in his life, he expects it to happen at any moment, which causes him angst from time to time because he isn’t exactly sure where he falls in the category of being good or bad. He has never had a long-term girlfriend, never had sex, and never has tried drugs. Being here, he finds himself tempted twenty-four seven by everything. Intelligent, outspoken, and loyal, Jack just wants to live his life and find his groove. He just isn’t sure how or what he wants, especially now that his luck is running out.
Recently he has been receiving threatening letters for the works he publishes in the newspaper on how the corrupt are not really corrupt at all. His apartment has been broken into several times and items broken such as his record collection, laptop, and camera. His car was vandalized to the point where he no longer owns one, choosing public transportation. He has enemies here, he just doesn’t know who they are.

Name: Bradley Thorton | Age: 28 | Occupation: Firefighter | Ability: Fire Manipulation/Superhuman Durability | Sexuality: Straight | Side: Good | FC: Chris Evans

Bradley knew, with his powers, what he wanted to do since he was a child. When he was just eight years old, his house caught on fire due to electrical wiring, trying to save his twin sister, the boy jumped through flames to get to her room. Though he came out perfectly unharmed, while the house did not, his sister perished shortly after from third degree burns. The fact that he had come out completely unscathed, it was a secret his family kept well hidden, knowing the cruelty mutants go through. For years it was kept a secret, the family moving on and going about their lives as if nothing were wrong. When the tension of mutant/human relations grew to new heights, he was sought out to come live at Elysium by a group of people in their hometown, knowing what he was and what type of powers he possessed.
Though reluctant at first, when he arrived at 18 he realized how special he was and how accepting the island had been. Having lived there for more six years, he works at the local fire department and has his sister’s name tattooed on his shoulder as a reminder of what he loves for a living.
